TURNKEY AND DAY WORK CONTRACTS
Big "6" Drilling Company is generally considered as having pioneered the "turnkey" drilling
contract along the Texas Gulf Coast. Many oil and gas operators appreciate the benefit of getting a well drilled at a
fixed cost. In 1949, Big "6" offered its first "turnkey" drilling contract. Some customers prefer to drill wells on a Day Work Basis. It also makes more economic sense to drill some
wells under a Day Work Contract. It is the goal of Big "6" to drill under the type of contract that best
